May Order

This month's specials are as follows:

Low-fat Cinnamon Almond Granola - $8.24
Freeze-dried Monterey Jack Cheese - $25.75
Freeze-dried Asparagus Pieces - $12.36

This month's order is mainly being done on a ward level, so we may not meet the minimum number of orders to receive these prices (minimum is 6 cans per item, or 12 cans in the case of granola). If we do not get these prices, I will refund your money. Orders and money are due May 27th. Please make checks out to me.

Pasta blowout--Emmett's

In case you're interested in getting pasta now, they are having their pasta blowout this weekend at Emmett's. I've bought from them before and was very impressed with what they had and the prices--almost everything is 75 cents per pound or less. You'll want to can it or store it in a bucket, as it comes in a cardbox box lined with an unsealed plastic bag. FYI, 25 pounds of their bow tie pasta equates to 14 #10 cans. :) As a reminder, pasta DOES count toward your grains for your long-term food storage (recommended amounts are 300-400 pounds of grain per person per year).

I didn't get this information in time to put a group order together, but if you're interested you can stop by yourself this Friday. If you aren't familiar with Emmett's, it is located on Lehi Main, approximately 200 West, on the south side of the street.

March and April's orders

I just heard from the stake rep regarding March's (cornbread and pancake mixes) and April's (dry seasonings) orders. The cornbread and pancake mixes are still on back-order; we do not have a date for when we expect to receive those. If you are moving out of the ward sometime in the near future, please let me know and we'll work something out (if you're staying in Utah county, I can probably bring it by; otherwise, I'll mail your order to you). The seasonings (chicken broth, beef broth, taco, and spaghetti) should be delivered this week, so hopefully I'll be able to get them all out to everyone by the end of next week, if not much sooner.

Thanks for your patience!!

May's food storage

I haven't heard from the stake rep regarding this month's specials, so I want to just run our own specials based on the needs of our ward. If you let me know what you need, I'll see what I can get as far as pricing. Personally, my family is interested in water storage (55 gallon barrels) and honey, but I'm happy to seek out deals on wheat, pasta, potatoes, nonfat (dry) milk, or whatever our ward needs. So, send me an email, and by the end of this week I'll try to get back to everyone with a few items that we'll be offering.
